Fiddlers Green

well, i logged on to Fiddlers Green
for that paper model scene
couldn't resist buyin' all the groovy paper stuff
but now my printer's out of ink
and my clothes,they really stink
of glue, and my carpet's covered in chuff

i bought six dozen paper clamps
rulers, glue and rubber stamps
dont even have an office, but lots of office supplies
now i never sleep at night
for trying to fold a wing just right
and seein' if that sucker really flies!

i got them paper modelin' blues
and i don't know what i'll do
'cause i spend more on cardstock, than i do each month for rent
got the paper modelin' blues
buy stock in Elmer's glue
cause you're sure to get back more than you spent

It's a drag to be me
cause i really got to pee
and glued my zipper shut on that last spill "dang"
they say a hobby is good for you
it fun and relaxing , too
so why is it so hard for me to chill?

cause i got them paper modelin' blues
from my head down to my shoes
I tell you being creative don't pay the bills
If i want to get along
i'm gonna have to get a loan
and go out and buy my own paper mill
