Not taken from any definite building but was included as another fun and easy to make building with a little flair around the top. (Not unlike a little cake.)

Speaking of taking the cake...In 1988, one of my 'perfection' artists was given the job of designing the little Red Lion Sign that goes over the door. You can see (barely) that he's scratching himself and that the back of the sign is the back of the Lion. That little bit of art fun cost Fiddlers Green $35.00 in wages.

The Red Lion Inn, a historic landmark in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, traces its origins to 1773 when Silas Pepoon opened a tavern at the corner of Main and Pine streets, serving as a stagecoach stop during the American Revolution. Rebuilt in 1897 after a fire, the inn evolved from a simple tavern into a luxurious resort under the Plumb family in the mid-20th century, hosting luminaries like Nathaniel Hawthorne and Norman Rockwell. Its Tudor-style architecture and antique furnishings reflect New England's colonial heritage, with expansions in the 19th century turning it into a year-round destination in the Berkshires. Recognized as one of Historic Hotels of America by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, it has operated continuously for over 250 years, blending history with modern amenities. The inn's role in local lore includes serving as a meeting spot during Shays' Rebellion in 1787. Today, it stands as a cultural icon, inspiring models that capture its timeless charm.
